Jane Pryor
Jane studied Fine Art at the Byam Shaw and Central St Martins. Working in painting, drawing and printmaking, her work focuses on mark making and the process of repetition and erasure. The drawings and prints are made up of repetitive marks, which are built up and erased over a period of time; the final image a concentration of marks, time and materials. The abstract drawings and prints may reflect back to the viewer some reminder of a feeling or place, a vision held in our mind’s eye; a reminder of the connectedness of experience shared by artist and viewer.
In addition to her studio practice, Jane runs an art group at Cam-mind, and is also currently project co-ordinator of a Heritage Lottery Project in the Cambridgeshire village of Weston Colville.
